Olio extravergine d'oliva ( EVO )
The Montespertoli extra virgin olive oil produced by Fattoria Lagigliola is an excellence of the Tuscan territory. Its intense aroma and fruity and slightly spicy taste make it an ideal ingredient for seasoning both simple and elaborate dishes, enhancing their flavour.
The Fattoria Lagigliola is located in the countryside of Montespertoli, a small town located a few kilometers from Florence. The farm covers an area of about 20 hectares, most of which is dedicated to the cultivation of olive trees. The olive varieties grown are the traditional Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo, grown organically, without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
The olive harvesting method is done manually in order to guarantee the highest quality of the raw material. The harvest begins in the first days of October and the olives are immediately transported to the mill for the extraction of the oil.
The pressing and pressing process takes place cold to best preserve the organoleptic properties of the oil. The oil thus obtained is then subjected to a series of checks to guarantee its quality and purity, before being packaged and marketed.
The result is an intense and fruity extra virgin olive oil, with a delicate balance of bitter and spicy, which enhances the flavors of the accompanying dishes. Ideal for dressing pasta, bruschetta, vegetable, meat or fish dishes.
